Men’s Underwear Wars – further pressure on the high street
One of the UK's leading online underwear stores have declared War on the UK's men's underwear prices.
www.boomlads.com has been selling men's underwear online since 1993 but has now decided to permanently be 10% cheaper than any other UK online or highstreet price.
This adds further pressure to struggling highstreet retailers.
Logistics Director for boomlads.com said "We have had a great year even before we have decided to always be 10% cheaper than the UK's cheapest price. Its a sign of the downturn that even successful companies are pulling out all the stops. We are waging war on all other men's underwear sellers, we will sell at cost if we have to. We still have the best service, its now about doing everything you can to keep the customer coming back for more."
The highstreet can't compete with prices at boomlads.com, they will have to revert to offering customers an 'experience' rather than a better price.
